"After three treatments I feel great. Before seeing you I went to our family doc and an orthopedists for my lower back spasms and elbow pain. Your exam was more thorough than the two of them put together. Thanks again."

At Alderman Medical we understand the effects of accidents and post surgical traumas on your quality of life, loss of work and stressors in the family environment.

Injuries occurring from sports, work or auto accidents and surgical interventions are due to trauma or overuse syndromes involving the musculoskeletal system and its soft tissues. Trauma to these soft tissues, including ligaments, tendons and muscles are generally the result from falls, blows, sprains/strains, collisions, compressions crushing and disruptions of the healing processes due to inflammation.

Dr. Alderman brings to Boise and the Treasure Valley a vast wealth of education both in eastern and western medical sciences, and decades of experience in treating sports, work and auto accident injuries. He has served as an expert witness for his patients and attorneys in both the workers compensation, personal and vehicular accident injury arenas. He was one of California’s first Doctors of Oriental Medicine and Licensed Acupuncturist to be certified as a Disability Evaluator and served as a Qualified Medical Evaluator for the State of California. His progressive leadership led him to initially write the curriculum for the diplomat medical courses which lead to the National Board of Acupuncture Orthopedics Diplomat continuing education program. Dr. Alderman is one of a select few of Acupuncturist to have Diplomat status with the National Board of Acupuncture Orthopedics (D.N.B.A.O.) and is currently the only Acupuncturist in Idaho to have this advance degree and the medical training and knowledge that assures appropriate patient care. It is this extensive education and clinical experience that makes him one of the most referred to acupuncturists by physicians and attorneys in the Treasure Valley.

At Alderman Medical Acupunture of Idaho our evaluation is a comprehensive history and examination involving orthopedic and neurological examination tests, and Traditional Oriental Medicine protocols, which are fundamental to diagnosis, treatment and possible medical legal issues. Based on these findings, we will make treatment recommendation which can include referral to physicians specializing in neurology, physical medicine, orthopedics, as well as, chiropractors and physical therapists. Dr. Alderman's integrated and complimentary medical philosophy assures excellence in your care that gets results.

It should be remembered that the rehabilitation of the injured is both physical and psychological. The physiological impacts of injury and surgery are similar. Both are traumas which can lead to pain, inflammation, swelling, digestive disorders and emotional changes. Many surgical patients suffer from pre-operative anxiety and post-operative pain, inflammation, nausea, constipation, vomiting, headache, and fatigue.

Post surgical pain syndromes and addictions to prescribed pain medications are a contributing factor in physicians/surgeons referring to Alderman Medical. We have what they want and what you want… RESULTS.

From a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) perspective, trauma disrupts energetic homeostasis and can cause both short and long term imbalances. Pain and dysfunction result from a blockage of energy (qi) and blood flow. TCM therapies function to remove these blockages. From a western perspective, TCM therapies decrease pain, decrease inflammation, promote healing and regulate the immune and endocrine systems.

The positive outcomes of our Injury Rehabilitation & Post Operative Pain Program include:

  • Pain Management
  • Decrease Inflammation
  • Decrease in Pre-Operative Anxiety
  • Reduction of Inflammation and Swelling
  • Reduction of Nausea and Vomiting
  • Regulation of Digestive Function
  • Reduction of Need for Medication
  • Reduction of Scar Tissue
  • Decreased Healing Time
  • Increased Rates of Full Recovery

When it’s about you.. make the intelligent decision!
